About these terms
These terms apply to your use of the CRIBTON website at cribton.co.uk and the editorial, discovery and community information made available through it.
By using the website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the website.
Our Privacy Policy explains how CRIBTON handles personal information and sits alongside these terms.

What CRIBTON does
CRIBTON is a London parent-discovery and practical-intelligence service. We research, curate and publish information intended to help parents decide what may be worth leaving the house for.
The website may include information about venues, events, classes, activities, services, food and drink, travel, facilities and other third-party experiences.
Unless we clearly say otherwise, CRIBTON is not the organiser, operator, ticket seller or provider of those third-party experiences.
At the date of these terms, CRIBTON does not operate online checkout or process online orders or payments through this website. If that changes, we will update the relevant terms before direct commerce goes live.
Using CRIBTON information
We take reasonable care when researching and publishing CRIBTON information. However, details supplied by venues, organisers and other third parties can change, sometimes at short notice.
This includes details such as dates, times, prices, availability, booking requirements, age suitability, opening hours, accessibility, buggy access, baby-changing facilities, food and drink options, travel information, cancellation arrangements and weather-related changes.
You should check important or time-sensitive details directly with the relevant venue, organiser or service provider before travelling, booking or making a purchase.
CRIBTON verdicts, recommendations and editorial comments reflect CRIBTON’s judgement at the time of publication. They are not guarantees that a particular experience will be suitable for every family.
CRIBTON content is provided for general information and discovery. It is not medical, legal, financial, safety or other professional advice.
Bookings and third-party services
Where CRIBTON links to a third-party website, booking platform, venue, event organiser, retailer or service provider, any booking, purchase or other transaction you make is with that third party unless we clearly state otherwise.
The third party’s own terms, cancellation policies, refund policies and privacy practices will apply to your relationship with them.
CRIBTON does not control third-party websites or services and is not responsible for their acts or omissions, except to the extent that applicable law makes CRIBTON responsible.
A link or inclusion on CRIBTON does not mean that CRIBTON guarantees the availability, quality, safety or continued operation of the third-party service.
Commercial relationships, sponsorship and affiliate links
CRIBTON may receive payment, sponsorship, complimentary access or affiliate commission in connection with some content or links.
Where content is advertising, sponsored, affiliate advertising or otherwise commercially influenced in a way that requires disclosure, CRIBTON will make the commercial relationship clear where users encounter the relevant content.
A commercial relationship does not entitle a partner to an undisclosed positive CRIBTON verdict.
CRIBTON may use affiliate links. If you follow an affiliate link and make a qualifying booking or purchase, CRIBTON may receive a commission from the third party. Where a link is an affiliate advertisement, it will be identified as such.
Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, the editorial content, original copy, CRIBTON branding, logos, design elements and other original material on the website belong to CRIBTON or are used with permission.
You may view the website and share links to CRIBTON content for personal, non-commercial use.
You may not reproduce, republish, sell, commercially exploit or systematically extract substantial parts of CRIBTON content without permission, except where the law allows you to do so.
Nothing in these terms restricts rights you have under copyright law or other applicable law.
Acceptable use
You must not misuse the website.
In particular, you must not knowingly introduce malicious code, attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website or its systems, interfere with the website’s normal operation, or use the website in an unlawful way.
Website availability and changes
We may update, change, suspend or withdraw parts of the website from time to time.
We do not guarantee that every part of the website will always be available or error-free. We may remove outdated content, correct errors or change how information is organised without notice.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
If CRIBTON fails to comply with these terms, CRIBTON is responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of that failure or of a failure to use reasonable care and skill, where applicable law makes CRIBTON responsible.
CRIBTON is not responsible for losses caused solely by changes, cancellations, acts or omissions of a third-party venue, organiser, booking platform or service provider that CRIBTON does not control, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
If you use the website for business or commercial purposes, CRIBTON will not be responsible for loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity to the extent permitted by law.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what personal information CRIBTON collects and processes, why we use it and the rights available to you.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when CRIBTON’s services, commercial model, website functionality or legal obligations change.
The “Last updated” date at the top of the published terms will show when the current version took effect.
If CRIBTON begins selling products or services directly through the website, we will review and update the applicable terms before that commerce goes live.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer, you may also benefit from mandatory rights under the law of the part of the United Kingdom or other jurisdiction where you live, and nothing in these terms takes those rights away.
The courts available to you will be determined by applicable law.
